History Behind the why Diwali is Celebrated In India

The diwali festival is very important in Indian culture. In the time of this festival everywhere is gaiety. All people are enjoying. Diwali is time to enjoy sweet delicious dishes. Everyone decorate the houses by the lighting, Diyas. Also draw the Rangoli.  Everywhere its look beautiful and brighten. It is also called Dipawali. It is very joyful festival. And verve environment . Diwali festival bring lots of happiness and brightener  in everyone’s life.

The history behind the celebrating Diwali festival  is very old as history of India. History behind Diwali there are mythical tales that can be found in ancient; Hindu scripture called Puranas. It is not easy to say what really was the reason behind its origin. The different people believe in different event.  There are so many reasons behind celebrating Diwali festival. The most well known story is RAMAYANA.
According to Ramayana lord Rama the king of Ayodhya was to go away from his country and came back after living in the forest for 14 years. The lord Rama went his wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana. At that time demon king of Lanka Ravana abducted Sita then lord Rama fought with Ravana and killed him. After this victory of good over evil Lord Rama return to Ayodhya after 14 years.

 People of Ayodhya where very happy for Lord Rama return back to Ayodhya. people welcomed them by lighting there house and decorate entire Ayodhya. So it is occasion of Rama’s victory over Ravana. So that’s why this occasion is celebrated as Diwali festival.
